Went to see Sharon today. Her shoulder is still very sore. I want her to be well. Not much going on, other than Bill and I going shopping. We are going to have a quite New Year.

Hi All,
Another night of not sleeping. It is 4:22am. This afternoon we lost our canope over our truck because of the snow. We don't know how much damage it has done to the truck. We don't even have to leave home without getting into an accident. Oh well, no one was hurt, thats good. We have about 18 inches of snow up here on the mountain. It will be a few days before we can shovel out of here. At least we still have power. You know I can't live without TV so I need that power.

Hi All,

I haven't blogged in awhile. My back has been giving me trouble. And you know what a baby I can be.

The snow out here is beautiful. We have about 7 inches so far and the big storm is coming tonight.

One of my Leghorns froze last night. We have a light on them but some just get pushed out of the chicken coop. Bart, our rooster, just isn't keep the old hens in line, I guess.

Chayse was over today and spent most of her time at Pattys. She is such a joy to have around. Shannon went christmas shopping and then came and got her.

Bill is taking pics all the time. He loves his new camera and lens.

I am going to lay down for awhile. Give my back a rest. You know, that baby thing.

Hi All,

It is 2:42am and I still can't sleep. What a bummer. Patty came over today and made pumpkin bread and cookies for Thanksgiving while I quilted Chayses quilt on my longarm. I got the quilting done and now I have to do the binding. Patty got all her baking done too. All in all, a very good day. Still no pictures..............sorry....................

Hi All, Well Bill and I have our christmas shopping done. Yeah. Tomorrow I am going to go to Sharons and make them dinner, or we could call it lunch because it will be around one when we eat. I haven't been over there in awhile because Bill and I have been doing our christmas shopping. Did I tell you, we are done christmas shopping. Yeah.

Hi All,

Another night of not sleeping. This time I am going to get up and wrap presents. Bill and I went christmas shopping today and we are going again tomorrow and then we should be done. My tree is up and about half decorated. Wish some grand kids could come over and help me with the tree. I got a new slim pine tree this year, I don't know if I told you all or not. I always put my tree up before Thanksgiving so everyone can see it when they come for turkey dinner.

Bill has been having some trouble with his leg today. I guess that he did too much walking. I will be gentle with him tomorrow when we shop.

My Love Birds had two babies. Any takers in about two weeks. My printer still isn't working. I might have to get a new one and then I can show you pics.

Gayle, I am mailing your Thanksgiving Turkey Button Up tomorrow. Thank you for the Disney ornament. It is on the tree as we speak.

Well I took a sleeping pill about 6pm and now it is 2:41am. When to they start working? I can't win. I should just start quilting but I think I will have a bowl of cereal instead. There are good horror movies on now anyway. I am going to get Marmalade tomorrow or should I say today. Patty couldn't get her last night so she is going to try again today. I need to tame her down. Marmalade is my new orange kitten. I swear, this is the last kitten I am going to get.

Gayle, I have patterns of Thanksgiving from Mary and I am going to start on a 'Button Up' for you and me of a turkey.

Hi All, Well Bill is home and is feeling much better. He ended up having 6 bags of IV fluids. He still is real weak so I have him sit in the car when I go shopping. Ha, Ha. Can you guys see my insert for my sewing machine. It really came. It only took three months. I guess I should be thankful, Marys took six months and then they gave her the wrong one. The quilt on the longarm is for Chayse. Bill got sick so haven't done any more on it, as I need him to help me put it on the frame. Maybe next week. The Halloween Button Up is for Gayle. It is in the mail already. Yes, I finished it first, Eye buttons, blanket stitching around it and backing too. I went all out, nothing too good for Gayle. Well, I better start Sharons white cake and chocolate frosting for her birthday party tomorrow. Her for real birthday is today. Happy Birthday to my older sister. Love you bunches.

Hi All, Bill is going to spend another night in the hospital. They want to give him two more bags of IV fluids. The doctor will see him tomorrow morning and let him know if he can go home. Bill is feeling much better but he is very weak. Will keep you posted.

Hi All, Well Bill is in the Hospital. He has celulitis (sp) and spiked a fever. He was disorentated for awhile but the doctors gave him an IV drip with antibiotics and sailine. He couldn't walk without help (by three nurses) so they said he had to go to the hospital. I don't know how long he will be there. I hope till just tomorrow. Patty is taking off work and is going to my doctors appointment in the morning and then we are going to see Bill. The nurses at Harrison just called and Bill is all tucked in for the night. I am going to take a sleeping pill and see if I can't get some sleep tonight too.

Hi All, You are not going to believe this but when we got home today, on our answering machine, they said the insert for my sewing table was in. I guess it is who you talk to. Didn't Bill say that they told him this morning, when he went to their store, that the company went out of business? That will be the last time I go to that store. 'Sew and Vac'.

Maureen, the 16th at noon is great for me. See you then.

Thank you again, Mom, for the lab top. I am going to enjoy the games I can play on it, with the sisters.

Hi All, Just wanted to let you all know that we are still alive and well. Tomorrow Bill and I are going to the grandkids soccer games. We are going to try and make it to both games, one is in Poulsbo at nine and the other is in Port Orchard at 1:30. I hope that it isn't going to rain but the weatherman says different. Oh well, I have a big umbrella.

Had a nice birthday party for Susan today at Sharons. Mom, Sharon and I put it on for Sweet Sue.

I will have pics next time. I am going to put another quilt on the longarm. Don't know which one yet, but I am going to go through my box with the quilt tops tomorrow after the games.

My sweet Patty is doing cement work by my chicken coop so I don't have to walk in any mud in the winter.

I got a couple of patterns that were cute, I thought.

We had a new baby girl the 24th. We are calling her Diamond.

Bill built me another raised bed. This one is 2 by2 by8. It is going to be for my mint that I make tea with. We had a nice ham dinner with Patty and Randy and Brandon to celebrate Bills birthday. He now is as old as me.

Hi All, Well, it is going to be a long night. Already 1am and I am wide awake. I bought a few new movies and I am going to watch them while I sew. One is called 'Hybrid' and one is called 'Mortal Kombat' and 'Mortal Kombat-annihilation'. I let Patty take two home and of course I don't remember their titles.

I had my brain MRI w/contrast. That means with a shot with stuff going through your brain. I came home and took a nap. I know, I don't believe it either. Me and a shot. Patty with there with me because we took Bill to the doctor the day before with celutites(sp) and he had to stay in bed with his leg elevated. Tomorrow we both should be feeling better.

Hi All,

Had so much fun today with my sisters. We did our Pacific Fabric quilt of the month. I even stopped at Material Girls and bought some silk thread. We just had to have it for our hand work.

This evening Bill and I moved up my rhubarb from the green house to my raised beds up by the house. Bill did a bunch of weed eating. It looks pretty nice.

We went to Sew and Vac to ask about our chair and insert. They don't know when it will come. Bill goes in a checks, I can't do stuff like that. He told them that he will check back in a week. He has been going in there every week since we ordered the table. Mary said thats what we need to do.

Hi All, I'm back. I know it has been awhile but your long wait is over. I made some Lindas McAwesomes. I need that egg mold Mary got to make them perfect. But they did taste good. Precious was there too so had to take her picture for Kimmie to see. She follows me every where.

I'm going to plant some more pumpkins after church tomorrow, and then my little raised beds will be done.

I am starting to make my own bread. I made cinnamon rolls too. It is so easy in the bread maker. More healthy too.

Bill and I have started swimming again. I am enjoying it. I use one of their long tubes that they have there.

Well no sleep tonight. I thought old people needed lots of sleep. I have been puttering around in the craft room. I still have many shelves to go through. It is a nice surprise to see things I have forgotten that I bought.

I love my sewing table. It is so big, and my machine goes up and down with a button, or did I tell you that already.

Bill has signed me up to go swimming with him. That will be a good exercise for me.

Surprise, surprise, surprise. My sewing table is NOT in. They called about 5:30pm to tell me that they don't know where it is. To apease me, they said they would give me some 'add on items', what ever that means. So tomorrow Bill and I are going down there and pick out afew. They promised 'next week for sure' it would be here. She is going to make some 'calls' and find out where it is.

Bill and Sam had a wonderful time. Both caught their limit of bottom fish. Bill said Sam was in his glory. I think Bill was too.

Hi All, Didn't do much today. They weather was icky and didn't work outside. I could see Patty and Randy working outside. Rain doesn't even stop them. Joe and Evan are here now playing games on the computer. It is always nice having them here.

It looks like I won't be getting any sleep tonight. It is already 3am. I am going to make some potato soup like Sharon had Friday. It teasted wonderful.

I spent the day with Patty. We went to her place in Mason county and got alot of flowers and I got a grapevine plant. They we went to Wal-Mart in Shelton. All in all, it was a very nice time. Wal-Mart is always a great place to go. I bought three zucinni plants and four cuke plants. I planted them in my raised bed and I am glad I did because, for those of you who are sleeping, it is raining outside now.

Maureen Mcquarries mom died Sunday morning. They are going to take her to Idaho to be buried next to her husband. My heart breaks for her. Her girls are with her and Mac.

Well, Bill and I had a pj day today. Did a lot of TV watching and kitchen cleaning. I got my Pacific Fabric quilt on my long arm. I am going to put the backing and stuffing on this weekend. Sam and Evan both have asked me for quilts this year. I am still working on Chayses. I love doing quilts for the grandkids. It makes me feel good when they ask for them too.

Patty and I got more plants from Cindy. Thanks Cindy. We got them all planted except the Iris's.

Yesterday was beautiful. Patty and I went to Wal-Mart in Poulsbo. We got a bunch of plants. Patty bought me a beautiful peach rose bush for mothers day.

Evan has to wait for another week before the doctors decide what to do with his leg. It is still swollen pretty bad. Dolores is coming over today. She is back from her California trip.

My reading was 106 yesterday. I just got up so I haven't taken it yet today.

Not much happening today. I got my giant pumpkins planted in the greenhouse. I cut some blackberry vines back and watched alittle TV.

I am going to walk the mall tomorrow. In the afternoon I am going with Patty and Evan to see the doctor. Even broke his leg skate boarding Thursday night.

I hope the weather is as nice tomorrow as it was today.

Whistle is down to two bottles a day now.

Well, this morning we took Bills truck in to get new breaks. They to Joanns where Bill bought me a roll of Warm and Natural. A roll is forty yards. I am still kissing his feet. Just kidding. We are going to tighten up the longarm and I am going to put the Pacific Fabric quilt on it. And get to quilting. I have alot of tops to do. We stopped at the place where I am getting my table and they had fliers there on the new Kowla (sp) I can order it the middle of the month.

This afternoon we went to see Sam play baseball. We didn't stay for the whole game because I was tired and Bill was too. He just didn't complain as much as me.

My reading was 126 this morning. I was doing so well with eating until I made those darn cookies. I threw the read out this morning.

Well, Annie got trimmed today. She looks quite nice if I do say so myself. We had two big boys from church come over and clean out out barn this afternoon. They did a great job.
Whistle wouldn't leave them along. They said he was no trouble. I know different.

I have been cleaning, resting, cleaning, etc.

I got my tomato seeds planted and Saturday I am going to plant the pumpkin seeds. I got my Tomato trees in the mail and I planted them in pots in the greenhouse. I also got my King Kong strawberries in the mail. I am going to hang them in the greenhouse in pots. They sould do real good there as long as I water them every day.

My readings were 116. Slowly going down. Thats good.

Hi All,

I finished my last class on diabetes. The worst one. All about feet and what can happen.

Bill and I went to Les Swab to have the breaks checked on the truck. Needless to say we have and saturday morning appointment to have the breaks replaced. Then we took it over to Wal-Mart to get an oil change, and then we came home and I made a payment on it. They break before they are even paid off. Oh well, you can't take it with you, but we would like to leave some to Patty.

Maureen, I hope Mac and his surgery went ok. Waiting to hear on your blog.

My reading was 115 this morning. Patty is going with me tomorrow to walk the mall.

I fed Whistle his bottle this evening but..............when I called him...he came running, took the three steps with one bound, knocked the bottle out of my hand, it went rolling down the stairs, spilt out of the bottle, I almost fell myself, all the while it is raining. I was ready for bed but now I have little hoof prints with shit in them on my pj's. So....................I think I will take a bath, no, make that a bubble bath.

Hi All,

I did my walk around the outside of the mall and then had a wonderful lunch with Maureen. We had alot of fun catching up on all the news from each other. It was nice to see her again.

I just gave Whistler his bottle. Hes new trick is to try and jump up on me. It is cute now but in a few months he will knock me over.

After lunch I worked down in the green house for awhile. I am going to plant my tomatoes and pumpkin seeds in the next few days or maybe I'll wait for the weekend.

We are having a couple of boys from the church coming over Thursday to clean out the front barn.

Bill wasn't feeling good this morning so we didn't get to church. Later in the day I did drag him to Wal-Mart. for a few things. Then we stopped at Costco for fruit. Then to the other Wal-Mart in Poulsbo to see if Marys 'Vampire' movie was there, sorry Mary, it wasn't. Bill stayed in the car everywhere we went so 'I'm' tired now.

Whistle didn't want his afternoon bottle today. He is eating grain and alfalfa now too. One of my rabbits is due to have babies tomorrow.

Bill and I went to Sams baseball game this afternoon. The weather was perfect for it. I got rid of three of my goats also today. I just want to raise pigmys. I have started cleaning up the back longarm room. Do alittle work, rest alittle, you know how it is. I also cut out a cowboy hat for the center of Chayses quilt. I was going to do pink but Shannon said her favorite color is green and she didn't like pink at all. Boy that was close................I almost did it in pink..

My reading were 120 this morning. Too high. Monday I will walk the mall again. I enjoy walking. I do it three times a week. I listen to tunes and just swing those fat hips of mine.

If you want Maureen, you can come and walk with me and then we will have lunch. No pressure......

I had a great time at Sharons today. I enjoy Fridays too, Cindy. I like getting together with my family and Beberly. I did go home and go to bed. Now I'm up and it is almost 10pm. It is going to be a long night. Maybe I will work on a cowboy hat for the center of Chayses quilt.

I am going to try and put my quilt on my longarm just to see if it fits. Hope so. I have so many quilt tops to quilt on my machine.

Bill and I went to Sams first baseball game. Chayse was there too. Chayse sat with us and Bill took a bunch of pictures. Can't beleive that she will be 12 years old next month. She wants coveralls for her birthday.

I am still working on the bug quilt. I have 11 squares done with dark green around them. I will do the 12th when Dolores is here. We do our squares together.

My reading was 112 this morning. Too high for me. I didn't walk today, I will tomorrow after church. Bill said he would go with me to the mall and sit and have coffee.

Had a great day today. Sharon, I sent Maureen my blog address. Your instructions were perfect. Cindy, I went to Pacific Fabric and got some more material. I do like it better. I started cutting it out but I'm tired so I am going to head for bed. Maybe by exercising my sleeping will get better.

I walked around the outside of the mall this morning then off to get my mamogram done. Alway fun. Bill is doing alot of walking without his boot on and now he is saying his foot hurts. I went over to Sharons and Moms too this morning and Dean said they were gone somewhere. I should have called first I guess.

Whisler is still great. I just finished giving him his bottle. He is so funny to watch. Man, I got to get some pics of him for you guys.

Hi All, Today after church I got a little planting done. Some potatoes and mint for tea this summer. Patty brought up my new baby ram and I am going to bottle feed it. He will live with my other pigmy goats. Will take pics later. I finished another horse head block for Chayses western quilt. I am going to make horse shoe blocks next.

Hi All,

Didn't do much today but I did go to my Diabete class. They make diabete scary. I guess you can't fool around with it. One man there, lost his toes from diabetes. Another went into a coma. All of them sound worse than me. I guess you could call me lucky. I sure don't feel it tho. This morning my reading was 111. Still needs to go down.

I haven't heard from Gayle so don't know how her daughters are doing. I hope and pray they are better. I kind of think that Gayle flew to Florida to see Wendy. I usually hear from her before now.

Hi All,

Didn't do much today. Bill and I went to Wal-Mart. Bill felt housebound and needed to get out for awhile. We bought Subway sandwiches and came home. It was so nice out but just vegged in the house the rest of the day.

I had so much fun today with Patty. We went shopping. Need I say more. Patty and I are getting a baby pigmy ram Sunday. Patty is going to bottle feed it.

Bill is not feeling good and said monday he is going to call his doctor at Harborview. He says his foot doesn't feel too good either. He sounds like he has the flu to me, but he wants to see his doctor, so I guess I will be doing the Seattle hills once again.

I didn't take my readings this AM. Just having too much fun the fruit of my loins. Tomorrow for sure.

Well, it is my for real birthday today. Everyone BUT Sharon and Mom wished me a happy birthday. My wonderful daughter and her husband got us lunch, french dip sandwiches and any angel food cake with strawberries and cool whip. They gave me a live plant and bong too. The bong is for the dog. You would have to be there. Shannon came over too and wished me a happy birthday. She brought over a plant too. I have been just resting the day away. I did go and take a little walk down to Pattys. That was my exercise for the day.

I finished Gayles purse this pm. Now I am going to start work on Chayses cowboy quilt. She is taking horse back riding lessons.

My readings this morning were 116. A little high.

Bill and I are back from Harborview. Bill had developed a sore on his heel so he has to go back in two weeks to see how it is coming along. I still got lost in Seattle today. I hate driving there and I forgot to take my diabetic book to read. By the way, my reading this morning was 109. Pretty good. I didn't have any carbs last night, I'm sure that's that did it for me.

Patty said she got me a cake for tomorrow. We all know what tomorrow really is don't we. I am sure it is an angel food cake with strawberries and cool whip. That's what I told her I wanted. My sugar headaches have quit. I do miss the sweets tho..............................I guess I'm on another higher level this time with sweets.

I was going to go to bed early but our Bug guy called and then came over and sprayed our house for spiders and ants. Rebated our rat traps too. We have rats in the garage and barn. Or at least we used too. Ha, ha.

Patty and I went shopping today. That is always fun. Came home and worked on Gayles Wave purse I am making her for her birthday. I'm down to the straps and then I'm done. I finished my first Quilting Basket and got everything ready for our next one. I am waiting for our meeting before I start it, Cindy. I got all my laundry done and I'm tired. I am going to lay down and rest. Bill and I go to Harborview hospital tomorrow morning.
My diabetes reading this morning was 129. Too high. I know you all liked hearing about Jims. I know I did. So I thought you would all like to hear about mine..............smile

Hi All, Patty and Randy just left. They brought a pizza but I was too full to eat anymore. Her boys are coming to help her celebrate her 43rd birthday. I had a wonderful time with my sisters, mom and Beverly. Kimmie I am so glad to see you too. It is nice to hear about Jax.
